Room 2 brainstormed some ideas to make our news reports even better. Some of the ideas were:
  • finding a set background and using the same one each time
  • Rehearsing
  • Using the school song to the beginning
  • Using an anchor person and reporters
  • using the school logo/wai learners
  • looking at the person you are interviewing
  • watching background noise and light
  • adding weather or sports results to our news clip
  • learn how to cut pieces of our recording so we don't have the bloopers
  • Remember to leave the tripod on the ground so the camera doesn't shake

Moon Myths

Moon Myth
One warm night there was a town sleeping. The moon was right above the town in the sky. Then suddenly the small thin string gave up on holding the moons it broke. The net morning the town was wondering why the moon was asleep on the ground.
“ Wake up moon ,’’ Shouted the town Mayor.
“ Why am I on the ground?”, the moon asked the Mayor.
"Your string broke moon”, said the Mayor.
“We could get some wings,’’ moon said back to the Mayor.
“ No actually,’’
the Mayor told moon. “ We will put you on a big thick strong rope,’’
“Men get the rope!’’ shouted the Mayor.
“Are you sure this is going to work Mr Mayor?’’ asked the moon.
“Yes I’m sure moon’’ said the Mayor.
“ Turn around so I can see your back moon’’ said the Mayor tying the string to the moon's back.
“Ok done’’ the Mayor said proudly. “ Yay yay! Thank you Mr Mayor !’’, said the moon. And that’s how the moon stays in the sky.
The End.

China

In china they have more than a billion people. The Chinese government have made a policy for only one child per family because of this Chinese family trees are very small. If parents have more than one child they will be heavily fined. Familes in china are very small. If you see two children together on a family outing, they are probably twins or friends. The peoples republic of China is one fifth of the worlds population. Since the one child policy became law, there are cases of girl babies being killed or abandoned. If you lived in the peoples republic of China, its almost certain that you would have very few relatives.

Millions and Millions

Did you know: there are more then 1 billoin people that live china also did you know in china you are only allowed 1 child and most people want boys!

Millions and Millions

I think the Goverment isn't fear. I think it should be two children per fiamly. That would be nice so they can have cousins and, they would get more presants.

Moon Myths

In Room 2, we have been learning about myths. Read Maddy's myth about why the moon changes shape.

Once there was a poor man. One day the poor man got very hungry so he went to see his friend named Sam. Sam he said while they were looking up at the moon man said that would be yummy. Sam got a idea maybe we could go and steal one of the space ships and eat some of the moon said Sam but the man said no but still when the man was asleep Sam stole space ship and went to the moon .when he got there he took a peace of the moon and ate it . When half of the moon was gone he got a wee bit to give to man. when he got back he got told off by man but when he tried the moon every night they would go and eat a bit of the moon. the end by Maddy
